Grahamstown is situated in one of the most ecological diverse regions in South Africa. The area has a large variety of nature and game reserve under which several private reserves which have Big 5 game.

This annual Science Festival is held every year in Grahamstown in March to promote the culture of Science in South Africa. During one week everybody regardless of age can enjoy over 600 events that are on offer, like exhibitions, lectures, workshops, laser shows, field and gamedrives, quizzes, Filmfest and much more. |

This annual Arts Festival is Africa’s largest cultural event. For 8 days every year every hall in town becomes a theatre and the city hosts more then 500 shows from comedians to opera and ballet. The city attracts over 50000 people and the streets get transformed into a large flea-market. |

During this annual Schools Festival pupils are given the opportunity to participate in a programme full of Arts and English related activities; aimed at developing their communication skills and encouraging them to use their own creativity. |
